Wakanda Forever, Rest in Power Chadwick Boseman

Wakanda Forever, Rest in Power Chadwick Boseman
It was not just another Marvel blockbuster for us. Our family purchased tickets ahead of time to witness this phenomenal film onscreen. It was what many of our elders never thought they would see; A Black lead as a Marvel Superhero. But Chadwick Boseman pull it off beautifully and made the role his own.

Wakanda is a depiction of the power we hold in imagery. Chadwick Boseman showed young men what it was like to dream and do the impossible.

Boseman has battled colon cancer since 2016 and died at home with his family and wife by his side on August 28th, 2020, according to a statement posted on his Twitter account. He was 43.

A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all. He brought us so many of the films we have come to love so much.

From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more. All were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.
