While accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, Jay Z criticized the Grammy’s for what he described as its snubs and inconsistencies in giving out honors to Black artists. He made everyone sit up straight when he pointed out that Beyonce has tons of Grammy Awards, yet has never won Album of the Year. He further pointed out that even by the Grammy’s own metrics, that doesn’t calculate. Could he be right? Hmmm?
Joni Mitchell’s Comeback!
Joni Mitchell’s music is like a language of its own. It’s raw, magical, almost painfully beautiful.
